All Vertex guides are trained, experienced, and passionate about the mountains — you're in good hands either way. The choice is about what kind of day you're after.

IFMGA Guiding

Vertex is home to two IFMGA-certified guides — the only operation with two on staff anywhere east of the Mississippi. IFMGA is the highest credential in the profession: a multi-year certification spanning rock, alpine, and ski disciplines, recognized internationally as the gold standard in mountain guiding. Every Vertex trip is built to give you the best possible day in the mountains — and an IFMGA guide is how you get that at the highest level.

Standard Guiding

For guided days where an IFMGA guide isn't required, our standard guiding team brings deep local experience and a genuine love for teaching.

TRIP INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you purchase Trip Cancellation, Interruption and Emergency Evacuation Insurance to protect yourself in case you need to cancel after the balance due date, cannot participate due to exigent circumstances or require emergency evacuation.
